Client:
Rockstar Cattery

The Goal:
The objective was to design and develop a one-page website for Rockstar Cattery, a fictitious local business, using a block editor. The project included creating a child theme, designing a custom logo, incorporating images, and adding engaging design elements. The website’s purpose was to provide a seamless experience for potential adopters to view available kittens and cats online before visiting in person.
The Challenge:
As my first website project, the challenge was to build a fully functional and visually appealing site while learning the fundamentals of theme customization, design consistency, and user experience. Though Rockstar Cattery is a fictitious business, the goal was to create a polished, professional site that could serve as a real-world example of an adoption center’s online presence. A key focus was ensuring the hero message—
”The Rockstar Cattery Opens Its Doors: The Premier Destination for Cuddly Cats and Kittens Available for Adoption”—effectively welcomed visitors and communicated the site’s purpose.
The Solution:
To achieve a cohesive and professional look, I implemented custom CSS to refine the color scheme, ensuring the navigation menu complemented the overall design. Using a block editor, I structured the site for easy readability, incorporating clear sections for available cats, adoption details, and contact information. The project allowed me to gain hands-on experience in theme development, branding integration, and design customization, showcasing my ability to create a functional and visually appealing website.
