The Unexpected Path to Web Design

If you’d told me years ago that I’d be running my own web design business, I probably would’ve laughed. My path here wasn’t exactly planned—it was full of career shifts, unexpected opportunities, and plenty of learning along the way.

The Pivot That Changed Everything

After stepping away from the corporate world to focus on my family, I had time to reflect. I knew I wanted to do work that aligned with my values, creativity, and desire to help others. That’s when I discovered digital marketing and web design-a field that combined problem-solving, storytelling, and visual creativity in a way that truly excited me.

I enrolled in UC Berkeley Extension’s digital marketing bootcamp and later found GeekPack©, a female-owned tech community that changed everything. Through mentorship and hands-on learning, I dove into WordPress, HTML, CSS, and PHP—and soon realized that helping businesses build their digital presence was exactly what I wanted to do.

Launching Be Well Marketing

By 2023, I launched Be Well Digital, focusing on website design and development. Through building projects and launching my own website, I saw a common theme—many business owners were navigating career changes, new ventures, or rebrands, and they felt overwhelmed by the process. This is the community I resonate with most, and my goal is to make the transition smoother for them.

I deeply understood that feeling because I had been there myself. That’s why I created Be Well Marketing—to provide a supportive, approachable way for business owners to build an online presence without the stress.
